Old Marco Historic Section
Overview:
Old Marco is the most historic area of the island, originally a 19th-century fishing village. Today, it retains its Old Florida charm with a tight-knit, walkable village feel.
Residences:
This area includes quaint single-family homes, vintage cottages, and newer condos with marina or water views. Prices typically range from $600K for small cottages to over $2M for waterfront homes or boutique condo units.
Lifestyle:
Residents enjoy a pedestrian-friendly neighborhood with boutique shopping, art galleries, and waterfront restaurants like Snook Inn. Pelican Pier Marina offers tours, boat rentals and waterfront access. It’s casual and creative, with a slower pace that appeals to artists, boaters, and those who value charm over square footage.
Location:
Old Marco is located at the northwestern tip of Marco Island, near where Bald Eagle Drive, Royal Palm Drive, Palm Street, and Barfield Drive converge. Bordered by the Marco River to the north, Collier Bay to the west, and navigable canals to the east, it offers direct access to the Gulf, direct waterfront views and boating access, and is just south of the Isles of Capri.
Notables:
Old Marco is one of the few areas where you can find a historic home or non-cookie-cutter architecture. Its character and location make it a niche market with loyal fans.
